Pokemon Go Has Taken Over

Okay so from my last blog post I said I wanted post twice a week on Wednesdays and Sundays. This means I was meant to post something last Sunday. I was planning on posting something, I really was. However something got in the way. That something happened to be Pokemon Go.

I've been addicted to this game since it was first released on the app store. It's a brilliant game and for so many reasons. I've heard quite a lot of people complaining about the game without the correct knowledge and without even giving it a try. I'm going to list 5 reasons below as to why I like Pokemon Go so much:

1. It's great exercise. To catch pokemon the best thing to do is to go out and walk around to find them. You can also collect eggs from pokestops and to be able to hatch these eggs you have to walk certain distances. These distances are 2km, 5km and 10km. The further you walk the better the pokemon will be.

2. There's a great sense of community. I've seen a lot of people playing the game when I've been out and about. Me and my boyfriend go out to one of the local parks that has a lot of pokestops in. We've found that whenever we go in the evening there are a bunch of other adults doing the same thing as us and going to each of the different pokestops. It's nice to be able to talk to others about the game and the different pokemon they've caught and where they have found those pokemon.

3. Friendly rivalry comes into the game. Part of being a pokemon trainer includes becoming a gym leader. All around there are pokemon gyms where you can go and battle other pokemon and trainers to own that gym. There are three different teams to choose from to be a part of when battling gyms. Yesterday when I went to town I decided to battle a gym to earn a few coins. There was a group of three lads playing and they owned the gym. When they spotted me playing they asked me what team I was part of and when they realised I was a member of the rival team there was a bit of slight of winding up from us both. On my way home I wished them luck with keeping hold of their gym. It was a funny experience.

4. I've been playing pokemon for years. I remember when I first played pokemon red and blue, it was exciting and I never stopped playing. I've always loved pokemon and always will.

5. It's exciting. There are so many pokemon I want to catch and evolve. There is a big rush of excitement when one of those pokemon you want pops up on the screen. When I first joined the game the only pokemon I could see was Bulbasaur so I caught him as a starter pokemon. I was gutted when I found out I could have had Charmander. Yesterday I finally got my Charmander. I have never felt so excited about seeing a pokemon. I can't wait to catch more pokemon and hatch more eggs.

If you haven't tried this game you should give it a go. You will love it!
