Five Things I Like About Christmas

Anyone who knows me well will already know that Christmas is my absolute favourite time of year. There are many different reasons as to why I love Christmas and in the first blogmas post of the year I thought I would share five of my favourite things about Christmas. 1. Christmas music - I love listening to Christmas music as it gets me in the Christmas spirit very quickly. Some of my favourite Christmas albums include Now That's What I Call Christmas, The Classic Christmas album by Perry Como and the Christmas album by Michael Buble. It is a known fact with people who know me that I start listening to Christmas music on November 1st every year so I've already been listening to my favourite Christmas songs for a month!

2. Christmas shopping - A lot of people hate Christmas shopping but it is something I love to do. I love to jump on the train, head to Cardiff and visit all my favourite shops and purchase as many items off my Christmas shopping list. I love that joyous feeling when I can tick items off the list. It doesn't ever bother me too much when the town gets too busy, I usually get up earlier to get to all my favourite shops first.

3. Christmas films - I start watching Christmas films very early on in the year. However every December me and my boyfriend watch a different Christmas film every day starting with Tom and Jerry Christmas on the 1st December and finishing with The Polar Express on Christmas Eve.

4. Buying and decorating the Christmas tree - This has got to be one of my favourite Christmas activity. Every year we go to the Harvester for breakfast before going and choosing our perfect Christmas tree. It's all so fun and I do love walking around and viewing all the different trees. Decorating the tree is then the next fun part of the activity. I love putting on Christmas music and digging out all the decorations that got stored away the year before. 5. Wrapping presents - A lot of people I know hate wrapping Christmas presents but it is one of my favourite things to do. I always put a nice Christmas film on, usually something like Arthur Christmas or Elf. I turn the main lights off and put all the festive lights on the Christmas tree. I could honestly sit and wrap presents all day.
