Buying And Decorating A Christmas Tree

Every year I look forward to buying my Christmas tree. Every year we buy a real tree and I just find it exciting going and looking at all the different trees.

Every year me and my boyfriend make a good day of getting our tree. We always go for breakfast at the Harvester before going and picking our tree. This year we did exactly that, however we had a little problem. We first went on Saturday 26th November but when we went to go look at the Christmas trees they didn't have any out on display. So away we went empty handed to then go back on Friday 2nd December.

Driving to the Secret Garden shop on Friday I felt nervous. Silly yes, it is only a Christmas tree. But I kept thinking "what if they haven't go any again."

We pulled up outside and happy days. There were plenty of trees.

It didn't take us too long to find the perfect tree. We got the tree home, unwrapped it from the netting and left it to drop for a few hours.

One of my favourite things to go is to decorate the tree. First thing first we take a picture in front of the undecorated tree wearing Santa hats. then we check the lights are working. Last year we decided we didn't want tinsel on the tree so working together (me simply holding the lights and him actually placing the lights properly) we put two sets of lights on the tree. Then we put on all the baubles and three new decorations I had got from Tesco the night before.

Personally I think our tree looks brilliant. I love it! I hope you guys like it too.

Only 21 days to go!
