Christmas Eve Traditions

Christmas Eve is finally upon us. The "big" day will be here in just a matter of hours! To say I'm a little excited would be an understatement. I always struggle to sleep on Christmas Eve I get that excited! So wish me luck tonight. For many people the Christmas celebrations start now. For example in Argentina the main Christmas celebrations take place on Christmas Eve. The main Christmas meal is eaten during the evening of Christmas Eve. Here in the UK many people attend midnight mass on Christmas Eve.

Just like many of you I have my own traditions I carry out on Christmas Eve. Although they will be changing slightly this year. For the last two years I have spent Christmas with my boyfriend and his family. However this year I am going back home to spend it with my lovely family. As you know me and my boyfriend watch a different Christmas film every night in December. Our last film on Christmas Eve is always The Polar Express. We start watching this just before it gets dark outside so once it finishes it is properly dark outside. Once the film finishes we pack some clothes and the presents into the car and we go to his parents house. At about 7.30pm - 8.00pm we go around to this sisters house for a drink or two and a nibble to eat. Then at about 9pm me, my boyfriend, his dad and his uncle go for a few drinks at the local pub. We head home at about 11pm and have a little chill and a chat downstairs before heading to bed.

This year is going to be different though. I'm spending Christmas with my family so I have my Amazon fire stick to watch The Polar Express with my siblings. And me and my darling brother will be tracking Santa on google. What ever you are up to today I hope you are having a wonderful time. Have a fabulous Christmas everyone.
