Goodreads Challenge 2017

I have been making reading challenges on Goodreads since 2014. I find it is a brilliant way to keep a book in my hand. It is also a brilliant way to keep track of what books I have read that year. I'm not a fast reader but it doesn't stop me from doing what I like to do best.
In 2014 I set my reading goal as 30 books and just about completed the challenge on New Years Eve. That year I set my challenge in late April as that was when I first discovered the website. I hadn't read any books before April so I had somehow read 30 books in the space of 8 months. Because of how well I did in 2014 on January 1st 2015 I set my reading goal for that year as 35 books thinking I would be able to complete it pretty easily with 4 extra months to do it with. However I failed the challenge that year because I started writing my book and was too busy to read books all the time. In 2016 I lowered my reading goal back down to 30, however halfway through the year I realised, due to being busy with writing my book, I was never going to reach my goal. Therefore I changed the goal from 30 to 20. I was still unable to complete the reading goal last year.
This year I have set my goal as 20 books. I'm hopeful that I will be able to complete my goal this year. I'm still going to be busy with writing my book and my blog. I'm also going to be busy with helping my boyfriend learn lots of new information for his physiotherapy course.
Wish me luck everyone, despite being really busy I am more determined than ever to complete this reading goal.
